What a finish to our season!

Maya, Zoey, Willow, and Ember made RSS history with their team victory at the Provincial Championships. Here is an excerpt from the school yearbook:
Having won the North Zones and the Valley Championships here in the Okanagan, our Junior Girls team headed down to the lower mainland for the Provincial Championships. As our season progressed, the start lines got bigger and bigger, and at the Provincials Maya Royle, Zoey Crosby, Willow Brown, and Ember Smith would run against 230 runners from all across BC.
On November 4th at 2:00pm, the starter pistol rang out across Crescent Park in South Surrey and off they ran. The RSS girls worked hard and they ran fast, navigating the mud and slippery sections of the course. When the race was over and they announced the top 25 finishers, Revelstoke was the school that surprised the crowd the most. There wasn't another school in the province with a second runner in the top 25, and Revelstoke had all four girls in this group. When they added up the placings, Zoey (5th), Maya (15th), Willow (22nd) and Ember (23rd) had the best team score and our JR Girls were crowned Provincial Champions! Congratulations Girls! You ran with the wolves and won!
